Hi! My name is Michael, and I have a bachelor degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Waterloo, and I am currently obtaining my Secondary Teaching Certification from AUT. With a strong foundation in STEM fields, I have 3 years of experience tutoring students, ranging from year 10 to first year of university. Tutoring Approach:
I believe that the most important thing a tutor can give their student is confidence. Especially in math where there is only a right or wrong answer, I often see students become anxious when they don’t know the exact solution, leading to question paralysis. As a tutor, it’s important to give students an environment that challenges their understanding of the material, while also giving them a safe place to make mistakes.
