Personal Description:

Ki ora My name is Megan and I am a current teacher in Auckland New Zealand. I have a Masters qualification in teaching and currently teach Year 5/6 students. When I am not teaching I enjoy art in my spare time as well as cooking. I'm looking to get back into tutoring as I have previously tutored students online.

Tutoring Experience:

My teaching experience goes back 7 years and I am currently teaching by day in a y5/6 class. I have taught all the levels up to year 8 in all subjects. I specifically enjoy and favour teaching maths and English in the primary sector. I have been an online tutor before which I successfully did for a year. Part of my teaching experience included professional development in literacy and numeracy. From the structured approach to British implemented programs

Tutoring Approach:

I feel building a strong relationship with my students is an important start to tutoring. Having an approachable and consistent appearance is what helps students succeed and achieve their best. In my past experience, students wanted who wanted to come to their tutoring lesson felt safe and knew their expectations were achievable which is what I offer in my approach.
