Personal Description:
I have an NZ teaching qualification and a passion for tutoring. With a science and design degree, I bring a broad knowledge of subjects. I have experience working in primary and secondary schools and particularly enjoy working one-on-one with students. I have strong subject knowledge in maths, science, social studies, art and English. I bring experience in teaching English as a foreign language and supporting ESOL students in their studies.
Tutoring Experience:
Year 7 and 8 technology teacher in an NZ school.
Worked in learning support and ESOL in an NZ high school. Supporting and tutoring in mathematics, science and English.
Taught in the Cook Islands. Subjects: English, science, social studies and art.
Taught English in Japan.
Tutoring Approach:
I enjoy getting to know my students and adjusting the way I teaching accordingly. Students learn best when they feel safe and supported which I cultivate through my warm, encouraging and sensitive approach.
