Personal Description:
Hi , My name is Mark. I was born in Wellington, New Zealand. I enjoy helping people improve their English. I can help you get better at Speaking, Listening, Reading and Writing. I teach adults and kids.
I am good at building student's confidence and fluency.
I am available on Sundays and Mondays for lessons.
Tutoring Experience:
I taught English as a second Language for 5 years in Osaka, Japan. I've been back (home) in N.Z. for 15 years and taught students from many different countries.
I have been teaching English (as another language) for many years, so I can quickly identify a student's level, needs and potential.
I am a qualified N.Z. Teacher. I graduated from Auckland Teachers College. My first job was at Matamata Intermediate and then I taught at Glenfield Intermediate.
Tutoring Approach:
English should be fun and interesting! I often use a theme-based approach ('Shopping', 'Travel', 'Movies' etc.). I use different resources depending on the student's age, level and interests.
