Personal Description:

I was a full-time permanent teacher in a Cambridge private school in Auckland, New Zealand. In 2014, our school was in Top 5 centres in New Zealand. Fully registered with Teaching Council of New Zealand. University degree in economics. Graduate Diploma in Multimedia, Auckland University of Technology. Graduate Diploma in Education (Secondary), University of Auckland (A grade, all 8 subjects). Currently I teach in one of the most important schools in Auckland, both Cambridge and NCEA. I love teaching as a professional and I have finished my Master Degree in Education at University of Auckland. Holding four Cambridge International Certificates for online tutoring training in IGCSE, AS and A2 level History and IGCSE Geography.

Tutoring Experience:

One of my students was top in New Zealand Cambridge Geography AS in 2016. In the last nine years I was employed full time in teaching. I was the Head of Department in History and Geography in my school. I am teaching History IGCSE (specialised in Depth Study Nazi Germany), History AS, and History A2 level (specialised in the Cold War period, and Dictators of Europe: Stalin, Lenin, Mussolini and Hitler). I also teach Geography IGCSE, AS and A2 level. In my practicum to become teacher I taught in few different schools (Cambridge and NCEA) from Auckland, like Macleans College and Epsom Grammar Girls. My teaching experience is vast and I have an amazing relationship with all my students, as I offer many different extra-curricular activities, such as: National Geographic photo competition, choir, soccer, basketball and European handball training, political group, green group and student’s magazine. Since 2018 I teach in St. Peter's College in Auckland.

Tutoring Approach:

I offer a tailored approach for different students, after the initial assessment. I strongly believe that I can provide the desired results for parents and students. My favourite tutoring approach is to use expert-level PowerPoint presentations (available online for my students) and to answer carefully to all the questions coming from pupils, until they understand 100%. Also, I like to develop in children important writing skills, as they are paramount, especially for the History examination (I am extremely patient and helpful with second language students). My pupils are also benefiting from the best Cambridge resources (books, short videos, activities, lessons, revision guides). I also use some of the rarest History and Geography additional books from my personal library. One important aspect in tutoring is to explain the marking schemes and to use past papers as examples and assessment. I have unlimited online access to all the materials (teaching resources, past papers, guides for students) from Cambridge, on my personal teacher account. In Geography, I offer individual presentations as lessons, exercises, activities, revisions and ultra-revisions, with an emphasis on separate case studies for each subchapter. The parents are also receiving a detailed monthly report updating them about the progress of their children. I am a strong character, with a conservative style, based on discipline, homework and respect for the teacher and the parents.
