Personal Description:

I am presently working as a volunteer art therapy artist at Rotorua Hospital and in 2019 I set up HEARTH Creative Space in Rotorua.
In 2018 I returned from working in the Middle East where I taught art at the German International school in Abu Dhabi.
In 1999 I founded the first and largest artist group in Abu Dhabi, the Abu Dhabi Art Squad.
I am a graduate from Dunedin Art School and a practicing artist who seriously follows the fine art tenets of visual aesthetics and meaning.
As a member of the Abu Dhabi Fine Art Group and Saudi based Heartist group I adhere to artistic practice being a powerful force for good in this troubled world.
I am available for one to one tuition and for small groups.

Tutoring Approach:

I have an intuitive approach to tutoring. My relaxed methodology starts with simple art exercises using space, line, tone, texture and form.
In a relaxed environment, the student is more open to learning new skills and advance towards his or her creative art goals.
As every student has a particular artistic talent, it is my task to bring that talent out and help develop it.
