Personal Description:

I am from Auckland . At the moment I live in Onehunga.I have spent some time teaching overseas. In 1993 I taught in South Korea. I have traveled to about 26 countries mainly in Europe and in Asia. I graduated from the University of Auckland with a major in Political Studies. I also studied Japanese and Spanish, I can speak both at an elementary level.

Tutoring Experience:

I have extensive experience in teaching English as a Second Language. I have had teaching experience in South Korea and in Australia.I have taught at Manukau Institute of Technology and Auckland University of Technology. I spent a few years teaching at Whitireia Community Polytechnic as well as teaching Academic English at Otago Polytechnic . I have also taught at some of the private language schools in Auckland such as Kiwi English Academy and New Zealand Language Centre

Tutoring Approach:

At the present moment I am available to teach one-to one at the student's home. I am well resourced and I will focus on all four skills to improve the student's overall competency .I would regularly test the student in order to gauge their progress. I use a variety of resources to make my lessons interesting. I am very experienced in teaching IELTs and Academic English
