Personal Description:

Over 7 years of maths grinds experience. My main interests are in education (primary and secondary) and psychology.

Tutoring Experience:

Graduated as a primary school teacher in 2016 from Mary Immaculate College and have worked in schools throughout the Limerick and Tipperary region since then. I have a specialism in Mathematics and have been teaching grinds with a variety of students for 6 years now, which have included Leaving Cert Honours and Ordinary Level Students (for Maths and Science), Junior Cert students and Primary Level students with general learning disabilities.

I have a masters in Psychology from the University of Limerick with an interest in perusing educational psychology at doctorate level.

Approach to Grinds:

I always prepare my grinds in in-depth detail before starting each week with my students. This would involve planning any material that the student himself/herself would like to prioritise. I like to get to know my students so I can gauge their standard and content of material they are interested in covering. There is also an added benefit for students in working with an educational psychologist.

Some of the approaches that I regularly use with my students include summarizing today's learning objectives, recapping on previously learned material, investigating the best learning modes to fit the students own individual needs and discussing important information/facts from the chapter.

I believe in guiding and supporting the student throughout their schooling experience by enabling them to access and acquire key skills and approaches to learning.
