Information About Mary - Gorey tutor

Personal Description:

My name is Mary. I am 26 years old and I am an Irish and Home Economics secondary school teacher. I am based in Co. Wexford. I am very passionate about teaching and helping students to reach their academic potential. I understand that education can bring its challenges for students and I am willing to help them explore new ways of learning.

Tutoring Experience:

I qualified in February 2022 with a masters degree and I am in my third year as a fully qualified teacher. I currently teach Home Economics at junior and senior cycle level and I teach Irish at junior cycle level. I am qualified to teach Irish at senior cycle level also. I have experience with student from 1st-6th year. I have previously offered primary school grinds also. For the previous 3 years, I have also taught on Irish courses during the summer.

Approach to Grinds:

Each student is unique and different students have different learning styles. At first, I like to take time to assess the ability of the student, which approach suits the student best and what areas they need help with. Once I have assessed this, I try to cater each lesson and teacher techniques to suit the needs of the student.
