Personal Description:

Currently, I am studying local tour guiding at a college in Dublin, so I am in search of a part-time job and will be glad to have an opportunity to cooperate with your company. I have passed CPE (grade A), and have a CertTESOL certificate. Also, I have a diploma from a National University in Ukraine in the field of the translation of scientific and technical literature and more than 10 years of experience in translation for an aircraft engine design agency (5 years) and freelance work for various translation agencies (more than 5 years). Also, I have a certificate of completion of a program in community interpreting, and experience in this field too (interpreting in hospitals, Emergency and Accident Departments, schools, etc).

Tutoring Experience:

I have been teaching online and offline for approximately 7 years, and I have taught students of A1 to C1 levels. I have also taught IELTS preparation classes. I teach individual and group lessons. Previously, I worked for one of the biggest online English schools in Europe (SkyEng) but had to quit when the war between Ukraine and Russia started. I was among the top teachers there with students of C1 level. I got a CertTESOL certificate in 2022, and have been teaching English to Ukrainian refugees since then.

Approach to Grinds:

I use various materials from renowned Cambridge and Oxford textbooks (New English File is my favourite, also use Speak Out and On Screen, and eager to see other materials if they are provided or suggested). I also teach lessons based on TED talks (for B2 and C1 levels). I am keen on teaching Grammar (Using New Round Up 6 and other famous grammar books) and use Communicative approach. As an empathetic person, I try to become friends with my students, and as a person who studied other languages apart from English, I can fathom what problems and fears a student might encounter.
