Information About Luisa - Dublin tutor

Personal Description:

I am a technical writer and interpreter by trade. However, I hold an MA in Applied Linguistics from UCD as well as a TEFL certificate from the Center for Intensive English Studies (CIES) at Florida State University, which is where I also completed my BA in English. Originally from Miami, FL, I am fluent in English, Spanish, and Portuguese due to my parents being Spanish and Brazilian. As a result, I work well with students learning English as a foreign language, as well as students who require additional support when it comes to writing and organizing their thoughts. As a Spanish tutor, I provide not only language teaching but promote cultural awareness as well, as Spanish-speaking countries differ vastly from one another in regards to culture, colloquialisms and linguistic usage.

Tutoring Experience:

I have been tutoring part-time since 2018. I have also led multilingual writing workshops with literary non-profits such as O, Miami, based in Miami, FL.

Approach to Grinds:

The first session is meant to evaluate what the student needs help with to better set up educational goals.
