Personal Description:
**currently I have emigrated to Canada for two years so will not be offering any grinds in that time period**. Limerick/Kildare based art portfolio grinds.I am a practicing contemporary artist with a first class bachelor's degree (NCAD) and a first class masters degree (LSAD) in ceramics. I successfully completed my portfolio back in 2016 gaining entry to NCAD, LSAD, IADT and DIT art colleges.
I presented my artwork to an Taoiseach Leo Varadker, the minister of education Joe McHugh and MoS Mary Mitchell O'Connor at the Action Plan for Education 2019.
I was awarded the LSAD postgraduate research award in 2019 to conduct my MA. I was nominated for the NCAD staff prize award in December of 2018. I was awarded the 'Most Creative' award by St. Marys College secondary school in Naas.
I am currently exhibiting work in the Royal Hibernian Academy in Dublin. I have participated in the LSAD Grad Show and 'The Limerick Show' at ormston house this year and seven other exhibitions in previous years.
When submitting my portfolio to colleges I received 900/1000 for NCAD, 560/600 for LSAD, 500/600 for IADT.
I have been published in a number of magazines and newspapers including Ceramics Ireland, Kildare Nationalist, Sculpture in context, the Irish Times, Irish art review and the leinster leader.
I am an ambitious, driven and innovative person who's goal in life is to become a full-time contemporary artist, making work for galleries. I love everything to do with art and promise you that I will do my absolute best to teach and guide you with the art grinds to help to shape your future career.
Tutoring Experience:
I currently have portfolio students to whom I give grinds weekly, for both colleges in Ireland and international.
I gave a series of classes to adults during my time conducting my masters.
I worked for two summers as the head of ceramics in the art department at the children's camp Robindel in America. I taught children aged 5-17. I also previously taught gymnastics to age groups 7-17.
I taught a ceramics class in 2017 to the Christian Brothers Secondary school in Dublin through the National College of Art and Design.

I am here to help. I can teach you the necessary skills you will need to complete your art portfolio for college or even guide and nurture your growing artistic abilities. I will help to develope your skills in every aspect of art and design and help you to develope your ability to critique your own art. We will work on your ideas to mature them into fully rounded ideas and work on executing them on paper.
As your art portfolio grinds tutor not only will we work on your portfolio submission but I will also help to shape your mind in the skills of critical thinking, idea generation and creative thinking. We will also work to develop your skill base.
I am based in Limerick at the moment, in the castletroy area. I can be made available to teach in the Kildare area also as I am originally from there.
