Personal Description:

Teacher of French and English dedicated to working with pupils who want to improve their grade. Bachelor of Arts degree in French and English. Masters in Education and teaching Junior Cycle and Senior Cycle French for seven years. The title of my thesis was Differentiation in the Modern Language Classroom; therefore, I have an interested in enabling all levels of students to reach their maximum learning potential in my subject areas. I am considerably well adapted to building a relationship with pupils and finding the best ways they can achieve the grade they deserve in the their exam paper. Available for one to one or group grinds.

Tutoring Experience:

Experience teaching and correcting Junior Cycle paper and experience teaching ordinary and higher level 5th and 6th year French. Worked as an oral facilitator and therefore have good knowledge of how to develop and approach the oral exam. Driven and focused on improving pupils’ exam technique. Considerable experience gained of the Leaving Cert paper and how to approach it from all levels of ability. A wealth of experience gained from teaching mixed ability students at Senior Cycle.

Approach to Grinds:

My resources and strategies have been gathered, tried and developed over the past three years. Hence, I am confident that I can approach the subject with the best strategy and resources for you. In addition, my resources are up to date and are relative to the topics on the exam paper. I use samples, grammar exercises, practice writing complex structures, oral activities, online quizzes etc in order to work on the specific areas requested by the students. My approach to grinds is based on teamwork, practice and repetition in order to fully prepare students for the exam. Any area of the exam that you wish to focus on is available through me.
