Personal Description:
Hello! Thanks for taking a look at my First Tutors profile. I'm Jason from Scotland. I have been living in Dublin for over twenty years and have managed to make myself at home. This is a site for tutors, so it goes without saying that I am a bit of a nerd - yes, you heard it here first. I am passionate about maths and chess, and play chess for Team Scotland (sadly, there is no national maths team - and I don't do football).
Tutoring Experience:
I specialise in Maths for both Junior and Leaving Certificate in Ireland. Over the past ten years I have taught maths in a secondary school, in a university access program, and in a number of community development initiatives. More recently I have been working on short maths tuition videos for an education focused YouTube channel.
As my primary degree was in Hebrew and Biblical Studies at Trinity College Dublin, I am qualified to teach the Biblical Studies course for the Trinity matriculation exam.
Approach to Grinds:
Online: Due to the current restrictions, I teach online via Skype and Zoom and have all the equipment necessary for the full whiteboard learning experience.
