Information About Grace - Dublin tutor

Personal Description:

I have just graduated from Trinity with a degree in Physics, Chemistry and Applied Sciences. I'm 22 and love physics, chemistry and maths. I have 3 younger siblings, in first, third and fifth year currently. I am taking a year to figure out my next move.

Tutoring Experience:

I have experience giving grind during my first year of college but chose to get a part time job past my second year of college because I felt I couldn't give as much as I would have been satisfied with, while covering my own course work as well. I have also taken part in open days teaching chemistry grinds to students looking to join the Trinity access programme. I have helped my siblings on countless occasions as well and consider myself to be a good teacher.

Approach to Grinds:

I think having a strong foundation is key to perform well in academia. If this is missing it is easy to get frustrated and lost as the subject progresses. I also believe this can happen quite easily, missing an important lesson or just having an off day. I also believe in active learning rather than passive learning methods. For example active recall compared to reading a chapter in hopes of remembering the information. After completing a grind with me, the student should have an in-depth understanding of the topic as well as being able to regurgitate a large portion of the information.
