Personal Description:
Hello! I’m originally from the west of Ireland and I am now based in south Dublin. I’m passionate about helping young learners grow in confidence and enjoy learning. I’m a friendly, kind, and patient tutor who believes that every child can succeed with the right support and encouragement. I love reading, yoga, and walking — activities that help me bring calm, focus, and creativity into my lessons. Whether it’s improving reading and writing skills, building confidence in maths, or supporting schoolwork, I’m dedicated to helping each child reach their full potential in a positive and supportive environment.
Tutoring Experience:
I have experience teaching across a wide range of class levels and school settings, including mainstream classrooms, Special Education Teaching (SET), and supporting students with English as an Additional Language (EAL). This variety has given me a deep understanding of how to adapt lessons to suit each child’s unique learning style and needs. I also hold a TEFL qualification, which has strengthened my skills in language teaching and communication. I’m passionate about education and always enjoy upskilling to learn new approaches and strategies that help my students thrive. Above all, I love helping children feel confident, capable, and proud of their progress
Approach to Grinds:
My approach to tutoring is all about creating a positive, comfortable environment where each child feels confident and supported. I believe that learning should be child-led — guided by the student’s interests, strengths, and individual pace. I use a variety of teaching methods to scaffold learning, differentiate activities, and ensure that every lesson meets the child’s specific needs. My goal is to make learning engaging, encouraging, and fun, so that children not only build their skills but also develop a genuine love of learning and confidence in their abilities.
