Personal Description:

I am a retired third level mathematics lecturer.

Tutoring Experience:

I have extensive experience teaching mathematics and computing, mainly to third level engineering students.
I was also an Associa**Contact Detail Removed**cturer with the Open University for three years, where I taught on their level 3 modules on Complex Analysis and Group Theory & Geometry.
Over many years I have also successfully given one-to-one tuition to:
Leaving Certificate students in Higher Level Mathematics and Higher Level Applied Mathematics;
University and other 3rd level students in Mathematics, Engineering Mathematics and Statistics.

Approach to Grinds:

I give one-to-one tuition either at my home or at the home of the student (within 10 km), whichever is more convenient in the circumstances.
I first try to establish what the student knows and identify his/her strengths and weaknesses and start from there. I prefer if the student is willing to do problems that I set. This gives me feed back on his/her progress and also assists the student in the learning process.
