Tutoring Experience:

I have 2 years of giving Maths grinds to private clients.

I got a H1 in the 2019 Leaving cert mathematics and went onto study Engineering in UCD. I have recently completed my masters in Electronic and Computer Engineering in UCD and am currently on a GAP year looking to get back to grinds to supplement my income. I have previously worked internships as a software engineer and software consultant.

Maths was integral to my degree having studied modules such as: Multivariable calculus for engineers 1 and 2, Statistics, Probability, Linear Algebra and Geometry and an advanced level

Approach to Grinds:

My approach to Maths grinds is centered on tailoring each session to the student’s specific needs, identifying areas where they struggle and working through these topics methodically. I prioritize helping students gain a conceptual understanding rather than relying on rote learning, so they can build a strong foundation and confidently tackle a variety of problems. For students preparing for exams, I incorporate exam techniques such as time management, question interpretation, and guidance on common pitfalls. I use interactive problem-solving exercises and discussions to actively engage students, fostering both their confidence and enthusiasm for math in a supportive, encouraging environment.

Huge improvements can be gained over the coming months and in the build up to the Leaving Cert where I increased my points from the mocks to the leaving cert by 112 points.
