Personal Description:

I’m an eager, enthusiastic Biology, Chemistry and Maths teacher for the past 7 years. I’m a very open, friendly individual. I live in Kilkenny and work in a local school. I have availability most evenings until June

Tutoring Experience:

I have 8 years of teaching experience and employ modern teaching methodologies. I’ve taught science, biology, chemistry and maths to both junior and senior cycle students. I have marked the junior cert and leaving cert papers and am up to speed with curricula requirements and effective exam technique tools. Knowledge of good exam technique is essential for success at Leaving Cert standard. The keywords that are awarded marks are very specific each year and therefore is a strength of mine having acted as examiner for LC HL Biology these past few years.

Approach to Grinds:

I am open to online and in person one on one sessions and small group sessions. I like to guide the student through the curriculum by giving clear explanations of the concepts that they are required to know about and then, use questioning to explore their understanding. I can provide notes where required and extra practice to do outside of lesson time if requested.
