Personal Description:

I’m an experienced tutor, having given German grinds and lessons at all levels and for all age groups. For several years I have been teaching privately on one-to-one basis and in secondary schools, knowing the Irish syllabus for German in and out.

As a German native I moved to Ireland with my husband and our three children in 2003. We spent 16 wonderful years there and are now back in Germany (Hannover area). I was 3rd level educated in both Germany and Ireland.

Tutoring Experience:

As mentioned above when living in Ireland I worked as a substitute teacher for German in schools in Sligo and Ballyshannon. I had private German students coming to my house and eventually also started with online classes. After moving back to Germany I've continued teaching online as well as worked for an extra tuition centre giving German, English and maths lessons.

Most of my online students are based in Ireland, but some are from all over the world. All of them have different goals, from studying for exams in school and university to being able to get around in Germany or speak to German relatives.

Approach to Grinds:

I have got a very structured approach to teaching. I believe in a good foundation that you can build upon. It’s about taking one step at a time. Each student has a very individual learning style and also different goals that have to be addressed. Whether it be improving exam results or travel experience, lessons will be efficient and enjoyable.
