Personal Description:

I am a 23 year old Biochemistry graduate from Trinity College Dublin. I completed two years of general Biological and Biomedical Sciences before specialising into Biochemistry in my 3rd year. I have a wide knowledge of specifically Leaving Certificate Biology having completed it myself, obtaining a H2 grade as well as completing my degree with a 2:1. Overall, I enjoy learning and teaching Biology and have a wide knowledge of the Leaving Certificate paper in order to help students use their time efficiently and improve their understanding of the subject.

Tutoring Experience:

I have been giving grinds in both Leaving Certificate Biology and Chemistry for a year.

Approach to Grinds:

I like to try gauge the students learning method and lean into that, for example if the student is a visual learner I will focus on making memorable diagrams and talk the students through it. Furthermore, I create typed out notes and share them with the students via Google Docs to compliment the diagrams so they can continue to revise following the grind session. Towards the end of the session, I will go through some sample exam questions in order to prioritize questions that are commonly asked on the exams as well as asking the students areas in which they found difficult.
