Personal Description:
My name is Cian and I am a current writer, educator and post-graduate student working towards a PHD. My education includes a BA in English and Ancient Classics in NUI Maynooth which I graduated from in 2014. And I completed my Masters in Military History and Strategic Studies with the newly dubbed Maynooth University. I have worked for two years as an Educational Support Worker as both a Scribe and PA on the bequest of the University Access Office. Currently I work on several tv shows, teach English online and am hoping to open my own tutoring business soon.
(2021 Update) I am a post-graduate student working towards a PHD, I have a Masters in Military History and Strategic Studies, and another in Gaelic Literature. My BA was in English Literature and Ancient Classics. I have worked as a teacher in Eastern Europe and volunteered as one in Sri Lanka. I specialise primarily in Writing (Essays, Academic and Creative) and Research Skills. And offer support and guidance in a wide variety of subjects.
Tutoring Experience:
I have a wealth of experience regarding the integration and education of students particularly those just entering third level - as I have volunteered as an Access Leader for each year of college. And this experience extends further abroad too as I am just recently home from a volunteering trip to Sri Lanka where our team aided in the education of disabled children and adults in rural communities. I have also taught English as a foreign language abroad in Poland and did so again in early 2017. For the last year I have being teaching English as a foreign language online, and have tutored at least a dozen students across a wide array of curriculum here in Ireland.
Approach to Grinds:
Personally I am dedicated to creative writing and the study of history, politics, culture and art and pursue these specific callings everyday it is possible. My greatest ambition in terms of educating is to improve the writing abilities of students - to unleash their creative energy with regards to composition of both the academic, the formal and interpersonal writing kinds. And of course I wish to demonstrate a means of studying history in particular that would I believe rally more students over to the active enjoyment of the subject because I believe that schools too often fail in this regard especially where history and writing are concerned. Active and engaged learning is a most and I look forward to working with any student that wishes to further the prowess of their own critical abilities :)
(2021 Update) I most enjoy working one to one or in classes of three. At the moment online is usually preferable. Usually lessons begin with covering areas of the course that the students school teacher has not yet so that they are completely covered. And then we move on to revision, detail and study plans. I believe my approach and methodology is quite adaptable and is dynamic enough to encourage the students in the ways that are best for them. I must enjoy planning an entire structure of a course, such as a teaching a student the whole syllabus of an extra leaving cert subject like Religion or Ancient Classics.

I never charged or took any money from you whatsoever. And I will gladly personally refund you whatever the finders fee of the First Tutors website was. The technical issues with the Zoom call on the first attempt was due to technical issues on my end and I apologised profusely. As I did as well with the following attempts it was compleely unforseen and I am sorry.
But theres no reason to make up lies to exaggerate your points. The second time I cancelled hours before the planned time. You just misread the text and thats not my fault.
I have a signed letter from my doctor that I was very ill on the 16th and 17th. I used it for my own employment too. And as soon as I realised that I wod have to cancel again I said I would find someone else for you. Apologised profusely. Because I didnt want to waste your time.
I told you I would find you another teacher today. It was not possibly to do so over the weekened. Your attitude after the first lessons had to be cancelled was so combative and spitful too and I dont understand the level of venom in this review of yours. I do not want to work with or for you but still tired.
I have taken no money from you. And I will personally refund the sites finder fee.
All the best,
Cian
Give him a shout.
