My name is Carlos, I'm from Asturias, Spain, and I’m currently living in Dublin. I’m 23 years old and I’m a qualified teacher of History and Spanish. In Spain, I worked for several years as a private tutor, teaching subjects such as History, Philosophy, Spanish Language and Literature, Geography, Art History, and Latin. In recent years, I’ve focused on teaching Spanish as a foreign language.

Teaching Spanish is something I’m truly passionate about and excel at, so I’d be more than happy to help you achieve your goals with the language—whether it’s exam preparation, schoolwork support, or simply learning Spanish for the joy of it.

Tutoring Experience:

Regarding my work experience, during the four years I spent studying at university, I was also working as a tutor for secondary school and high school students, helping them with subjects like Spanish Language and Literature, Geography, History, Art History, and Philosophy. Later, during my university and master's internships, I worked as a History teacher—first in Oviedo (2022-2023) and then in Granada (2023-2024). Finally, in 2023, I began teaching Spanish, a job I continue to do to this day.

Approach to Grinds:

My approach to tutoring is communicative and natural, with a strong emphasis on developing communication skills, as I believe this is the most challenging area and where I can provide the most support as a teacher. While grammar is an important aspect of my lessons—since a solid theoretical foundation is always necessary—my classes are more practice-oriented, focusing on both written and spoken tasks, as well as writing exercises.

That said, each student has unique needs, and I strive to fully adapt to these by tailoring my lessons to their individual goals.
