Information About Audrey - Galway tutor

Personal Description:

I am a highly artistic person originally from the US who is currently enrolled in NUIG. I have exceptional skills in many artistic techniques including drawing, painting, watercolor, pastels, and more. I also have over ten years of musical experience, first starting piano lessons when I was 6 years old, and continuing to study music through guitar and ukulele a few years later on. Tutoring Experience:

I started teaching piano privately at the age of 14, so it has been almost 5 years since I first began my tutoring journey. In the past year, I have had piano, guitar, maths, and english students, mainly teaching children, but I also have experience teaching piano to adults.

Approach to Grinds:

Typically for music, I will send my student a link to a book, or if they have a book they'd like to learn from in mind, we will use that. Typically, sessions go from 30 minutes to 1 hour, depending on the age, attention-span, and budget of the student. I am very passionate about teaching to be able to sustain skills for the long term, so instead of just teaching a student to memorize songs, I teach music theory and note-learning so they are able to eventually sight-read music. For other subjects such as art, english, and maths, I also try to give students the tools to be able to eventually figure things out on their own by teaching them essential and universal techniques of learning to set them up for success beyond tutoring sessions.
