Personal Description:

Bonjour! My name is Ash, and I'm excited to offer my services as a French language tutor. I am a native English speaker who has spent four years living, studying, and working in France, where I developed a great understanding of the French language and culture. Since moving to Ireland, I have worked as a French language specialist at Accenture, and in a French Recruitment Agency, further refining my French language skills.
Additionally, I have been living full-time in French-speaking households since 2019, which has allowed me to maintain a high level of fluency and stay fully immersed in the language. Whether you're a beginner looking to learn the basics or someone seeking to refine your skills, I am here to help you achieve your French language goals.

Tutoring Experience:

I have extensive experience teaching French to English speakers and English to French speakers, guiding learners of all ages, from young children to university students. My approach is adaptable, ensuring that each student’s unique learning style is met with personalised strategies. Additionally, I spent several years teaching martial arts in a welcoming environment designed to build confidence, so my teaching approach is adaptable to each student and their needs.

Approach to Grinds:

In my French tutoring sessions, I focus on making the learning experience enjoyable and tailored to each student’s needs, whether that be structured French (such as what is taught in school, or casual/practical French that is more commonly spoken). I believe that developing a genuine interest in the language is the best way to stay motivated and make progress.
We’ll start by working through past exam papers to get a clear idea of what’s expected from students. From there, I’ll help you improve your reading and writing, offering tips on structure and useful expressions!
Speaking is just as important, so I create a relaxed and supportive environment where you can build confidence in your oral skills by conversing and gradually building your vocabulary whilst working on pronunciation and fluidity.
