Personal Description:

My name is Ana and I’ve been working in my family run business for 14 years. I’m from Vigo, Galicia in Spain and I came to Ireland to challenge myself and find my own path. After working with kids for a long time I have realized that teaching Spanish is my passion.
First, I started minding them and then I got a job teaching children in different schools around Ireland. I was teaching Irish kids and Polish kids. I found it very rewarding and fun.
I have a degree in Tourism and I am Spanish certified ELE teacher from Salamanca University - ELE USAL Salamanca and Cervantes Internacional . I am also studying for the University of Miguel de Cervantes - 300 hours.
I can help you if you want to prepare any exam like leaving Cert – speaking, pronunciation , writing and listening skills.
If you are stuck on something - a project, at college for example, I will be there for you.

I have started my 1:1 classes with Ana 2months ago. In this time I had made signifcant grammatical and conversational progress. Ana has tailored our classes such as best to meet my needs wich we have discussed . Our classes are always only in spanish , when we speak she always corrects my pronunciation and grammar. Often she would write the sentence the way I said it and we would go through the grammatical structure of it. She has always made sure that we cover all aspects that will allow me to progress to the next level. When I have started with Ana I was level B1.1 with Cervantes and after classes I feel like my level ha significantly increased. Ana was able to adjust her teaching and materials to suit my goal and is helping me achieve B1 EXAM in the coming months. I found her approach to teaching to be very professional, friendly and I have already recommeded her to multiple of my friends . Ana also gives discipline to our classes: we have conversations focus on new grammatic elements… I also write homework, which she corrects and explains my mistakes to me. I find that she is very adaptable and approachable.
I am very happy that I have found her andd looking foward to making even more progress over the coming months.

Ana have been teaching Lucy aged 12 and Euan, aged 9, Spanish since January. The guys have really enjoyed their introduction to a new language. They find the class fun and engaging. Ana is very patient has a great way with the children. The one to one class really stimulates Lucy and Euan and I would highly recommend Ana to anybody who wants to take up learning a new language.

Ana is a wonderful teacher and uses different methods to get your speaking spanish from day one. I lived in Spain for a few years and decided to move back there. My spanish was really rusty and Ana designed a fantastic intensive course for me and I must admit that I now I have the ability to speak quite good spanish. Ana is very professional and at the same time very encouraging in getting you speaking Spanish with confidence.
