Personal Description:

As someone who has spent many years receiving tuition through other languages and working abroad, I am a very approachable and empathetic educator who is able to understand the difficulties you are facing.

Tutoring Experience:

I hold a Triple First-Class Honours in Spanish, French and Italian, a Master's in Interpreting and Translation and a Ph.D. in Applied Linguistics. I received an A grade in my Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults qualification and I am a British Council-trained IELTS teacher.

I have nine years’ experience planning, designing, teaching, administering and evaluating third-level classes and I completed a year-long contract in 2022 as an Assistant Professor of Applied Linguistics in Japan. Before that, I worked as a Lecturer at four leading universities in the British Isles.

I am currently tutoring Junior Certificate, Leaving Certificate, international students preparing for English-medium third-level instruction, IELTS candidates, English for Business and adult learners of all levels.
