Personal Description:

I’m a qualified English and History teacher based in Athlone, offering grinds at both Junior and Leaving Certifica**Contact Detail Removed**vels. I’m patient, supportive, and focused on helping students build their skills and confidence—whether they need help with essays, revision strategies, or understanding the curriculum in a clearer, more accessible way. I aim to create a relaxed and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and improving at their own pace. I also have experience correcting Junior Certificate exams, which gives me valuable insight into what examiners are looking for.

Tutoring Experience:

I have been teaching English and History for two years across a range of school settings, including mainstream classes, SEN support, and EAL-focused environments. I hold a PME and TEFL qualification and have spent the last three years working as a Junior Certificate exam corrector.

My grinds are exam-focused but delivered in a relaxed and supportive way. I tailor each session to the student’s individual needs, whether they’re aiming for a higher grade, need help with basic literacy, or want to develop their exam technique.
