Hi, I'm Zakir! - A student at the University of Toronto studying Computer Science and Mathematics. Throughout my educational journey, I've had many great teachers that made me love learning. Because of this, I was able to gain honour rolls each year of high school, mathematics awards, and ultimately achieve a university scholarship. I'm very excited to share my skills and experience to allow students to reach their full potential.

Tutoring Experience:

I have tutored elementary and secondary students in academics for several years. I have extensive experience teaching other disciplines as well. I have 7 years of experience assisting and teaching Taekwondo at a Taekwondo academy. In addition, I have over two years of experience assisting and teaching with the City of Markham for a variety of courses, namely Taekwondo, Karate, Soccer, Science, Robotics, etc.

Tutoring Approach:

As a student, I am very familiar with the Elementary and Secondary School curriculum. I understand what students struggle with and the procedure to help them understand the material. I believe in explaining topics as simply as possible without missing out on key information. The pandemic is undoubtedly a difficult time for students as learning has slowed down a bit. I do my best to recreate the experience of one-on-one learning as much as possible. I write on a touch-screen device and am able to use tools and software to make learning engaging.

The first hour is always free and I start at $10 an hour
