Personal Description:

I am an Engineer with 5+ years of professional industry work experience in the power generation sector, currently working towards a Masters in Engineering at the University of Toronto. Prior, I completed my Bachelors in Engineering (Honors Standing) from the University of Toronto in 2016.

Tutoring Experience:

Facilitated Study Group Leader at University of Toronto:
• Appointed by the Faculty to lead and facilitate 60-minute study sessions for up to 30 first-year engineering students
• Communicated regularly with instructors to identify areas of concern and implemented improvement strategies
• Applied strategies to integrate students’ process of learning with course content and covered topics such as study skills, time management, exam preparation techniques and problem-solving approach

Tutoring Approach:

My teaching method involves encouraging the student to question their thought process so that they are able to arrive at the correct solution themselves. My approach is guiding them through rather than revealing the correct solution. This way, students retain their performance and knowledge when they solve the problems on their own. Same as it is in real life situations :)
