Personal Description:

I am a recent graduate from McMaster University based in Canada Ontario. I was conferred my Bachelor's in Life Sciences (honors) with distinction this year and I am very determined for my students to accomplish their academic ventures with ease and vigor. I hold a minor in biology and am adept in combining chemistry, organic chemistry, and physics under multidisciplinary subjects such as biochemistry and biophysics. I am well attuned with teaching a wide range of students from grade 10 IB to fellow classmates undertaking college/university courses. I look forward to hearing from you and hope to answer any inquiries to the best of my abilities.

Tutoring Experience:

I have tutored fellow university students at McMaster University as a freelance tutor for the benefit of my student community in the past, covering courses such as: Introductory chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Introductory Physics, Biophysics, Biochemistry, Medical Biochemistry, and a plethora of other interdisciplinary biology courses. I am currently tutoring a few IB students in chemistry, biology, functions, and calculus; however, I would love to broaden my scope and provide as much assistance to my academic communities as possible.

Tutoring Approach:

My approach in tutoring is first gauging how much the student/peer understands the problem by encouraging them to show me what they know before offering any help. In this way, I understand what areas might be week. Communicating such insights with my students help establish clear expectations about what needs to be improved upon from both parties. I always work with the student to inform any doubts in knowledge by targeting the issue at the crux of the problem to solve any academic confusions. I love to rely on examples which I prepare before hand pertaining to complex issues which can be best explained by breaking the sums of the issue down to its constituent parts. Using this approach of observing, targeting the issue, and providing plenty of examples along the way has never failed me; and more importantly, has never failed a student. Overall, my main goal is to communicate effectively and collaborate to further my students' academic journeys with growth and a positive learning environment being a pivotal asset in my teaching.
