Personal Description:

My name is Yaniss . I am currently 20 years old and finishing my DEC at Champlain College in Health Sciences with the intention of applying in medicine for the semester of Fall 2019. I have many interests: basketball, photography, reading and, most importantly, learning.

Je m'appelle Yaniss . J'ai 20 ans et je finis mon DEC en Sciences Santé au Collège Champlain avec l'intention d'appliquer en médecine pour l'automne 2019. J'ai plusieurs intérêts incluant le basketball, la photographie, la lecture et, surtout, apprendre sur la vie en général.

Tutoring Experience:

I have never been an actual tutor. However, I have experience as an assistant basketball coach, and I have assisted friends numerous times when they encountered difficulty understanding certain concepts learned at school. For these reasons, I am adept at teaching people and believe I will adapt just fine to my first tutoring experience!

Je n'ai jamais été un tuteur. Cependant, j'ai de l'expérience en tant qu'assistant-coach de basketball et j'ai aidé mes amis à maintes reprises lorsqu'ils avaient des difficultés à l'école. Pour ces raisons, je sais comment m'y prendre pour enseigner des concepts aux gens et je suis sûr que je vais être un excellent tuteur!

Tutoring Approach:

My approach to tutoring would be to, obviously, help the student regarding his academic difficulties. However, I would focus my attention on making sure the students fully assimilates what is taught rather than simply going through the motions. This will allow for a more lasting impact.

Mon approche en tant que tuteur serait, évidemment, d'aider l'élève en ce qui concerne ses difficultés académiques. Cependant, je m'assurerais que l'élève assimile bien les notions apprises au lieu d'appliquer les notions sans nécessairement comprendre ce qu'il fait. C'est une meilleure solution pour le long terme!
