Personal Description:

I am a tutor who is passionate about math and enjoys working closely with students. My aptitude for math allows me to assist students in achieving higher levels of understanding. One of the things I enjoy about math tutoring is helping a student who is frustrated to develop a clarity and understanding of the subject.

Tutoring Experience:

I have experience tutoring in math all the way from high school algebra through calculus. Currently, I am an honors student studying chemical engineering. My passion for math helped me to excel, which led to me scoring a 790 on the math SAT and SAT II.

Tutoring Approach:

I believe a math tutor's purpose is to motivate students by sparking their interests in order to keep them engaged in the subject. Forming a connection with students helps me to figure out the source of their frustrations with math. Understanding this allows me to develop a clear plan to help them to reach for their goals.
