Personal Description:

I strive to help my students work towards their goals. I enjoy getting to know my students and excel at adapting my teaching style to their needs. I can students as they strengthen their vocabulary for reading, as well as assist in test prep. As an instructor, I thrive in the 1-on-1 environment offered by tutoring.

Tutoring Experience:

I completed my bachelor's degree in Education and also majored in Integrated Science and minored in Mathematics. I graduated in 2014 and went on to spend a year teaching 7th and 8th-grade science. I spent another year teaching 5th-grade math. I have spent four years as an English tutor at a learning center.

Tutoring Approach:

The key to tutoring is to tailor the approach to suit the student down to their personality and interests. I like to take the time to get to know their opinions on learning, as well as their academic strengths and weaknesses. From there, I can find ways to keep them engaged and motivated throughout our sessions.
