Personal Description:

I am a Biotechnologist with orientation in Molecular Genetics, from Universidad Nacional de Quilmes in Buenos Aires, Argentina. I am currently doing my PhD in Biochemistry at UQAM.
My passion for science makes me want to spread knowledge everywhere, so I have participated in a lot of science events for children and have a lot of experience in teaching.

Tutoring Experience:

I have been pair tutor in my university in Buenos Aires, Argentina, for 2 years, where I taught studying techniques in different subjects.
I have also been chosen to be a teaching assistant for Microbiology during 2017, where I had to prepare everything for the practical aspects of the subject. Meanwhile, I have done tutoring in my house, for a variety of subjects, including languages, and science (since 2013 until Dec 2018).

Tutoring Approach:

Regarding languages, I focus in teaching oral/listening and writting skills, so that the students can start understanding when they are exposed to a situation where they have to speak in english or in spanish. I like to speak to the student to know what is their main focus, and the reason why they are learning the language (i.e, if they are learning because they are travelling to another country, then the classes will be focused in learning how to manage in a new country with a new language).
Regarding science/biology, I like to focus on the main text books, and try to explain the subject as concise and easy-going as possible. Since I am a Biotechnologist, I specialize in Molecular Biology and Genetics at all levels, and I also teach basic biology or natural sciences classes.
