Personal Description:

My favorite subjects include general math, algebra, and geometry, though I'm also comfortable teaching Algebra II, statistics, and business course content. I firmly believe that all students can succeed in math if they put in the time. I excel at breaking complex concepts into bite-sized chunks that are easier for students to understand.

Tutoring Experience:

I have over 14 years of experience in the education field, including time spent as a Special Education Aide, adjunct professor, and substitute teacher. As such, I'm comfortable working with students from all backgrounds. I also have a BS and MBA in Business.

Tutoring Approach:

I try to relate the material I'm teaching to things that my student already knows to help it stick. I also believe that it's important for any math tutor to get to know their pupil. For example, a student who's struggling with their multiplication tables has to address them before moving on to exponents or PEMDAS. I frequently remind my students that it's okay to make mistakes while learning as well.
