Personal Description:

My name is Urgyen, and I love to work with learners passionate to improve their artistic skills. Since time immemorial, the arts have played a critical part in the development and preservation of civilizations. Today, they are some of the only things that prove how far we have come since millenia. I believe it continues to be a critical factor to move our generations forward, and to be true visionaries in our pursuit of greatness for all humanity and the planet.

Tutoring Experience:

I have tutored in art at Essex Public School for a year, and also tutored art in Parkdale as part of the Parkdale Community Information Centre Newcomer Youth program. I have also given various workshops on design and art in Toronto, New York and India.

Tutoring Approach:

I have an open-minded approach to tutoring, but am also critical when necessary. Generally, depending on the length of the course or workshop, I go into basics of design and art philosophy, and stress on the interactive and hands-on element of making art and design.
