Personal Description:

Having completed many science courses, I know how challenging they can be, making me an excellent chemistry tutor. My goal as a tutor is to provide my students with the necessary tools to understand complex materials. I believe that good tutors each themselves out of a job. To me, this means we should be teaching our students to tackle difficult concepts with their own skills and less reliance on instructors.

Tutoring Experience:

As an undergraduate, I earned my Bachelor of Science in Chemistry. I am currently a pre-candidate in a chemistry doctoral program. I have taken many science courses throughout my academic career, so I understand how difficult it can be to learn complex concepts.

Tutoring Approach:

I take a hands-on approach to tutoring. I will try numerous activities to help students retain the most information possible. I may ask students to read material aloud or explain concepts back to me as if I am new to the material.
