Personal Description:

Hi, I'm Tris! I'm a graduate of McGill University and computer programmer, and I love teaching. Getting a student from confused to confident is super gratifying! I consider myself laid back, supportive, and happy to work with any student no matter where they are starting from, but I also pride myself on making great progress with every pupil.

Tutoring Experience:

- Teaching Assistant for four years at McGill University, teaching Intro to Computer Science, Theory of Computer Science, Functional Programming, and Algorithms. I received excellent student feedback every semester I worked as a TA.
- Math and SAT Prep Tutor for high school students for one year

Tutoring Approach:

I like to carefully walk through questions to determine what a student is struggling with to ensure we're focusing on the righ**Contact Detail Removed**ments of the material. My goal is to make sure that students not only produce good work, but that they come away with a thorough understanding of the subject and can clearly explain ideas and concepts from the subject they're learning.
