Personal Description:
I have mentored over 20 students in various Computer Science subjects at the university level.
I am currently a student at SFU and in my free time I provide tutoring lessons.
Tutoring Experience:
2+ Years of tutoring students in foundational programming, algorithms, data structures, and computer systems
1+ Years of assisting undergraduate students with advanced Computer Science courses, including software engineering, artificial intelligence, database systems, and web development.
Tutoring Approach:
My teaching strategy includes:
1.) Designing a customized learning plan that aligns with each student's specific needs.
2.) Bridging any foundational gaps in knowledge to ensure a solid understanding of computer science principles.
3.) Providing a variety of practice problems to enhance problem-solving speed and accuracy.
4.) Supplying additional resources (textbooks, online tutorials, coding platforms, detailed examples) to support learning outside of tutoring sessions.
I emphasize critical thinking and the application of computational thinking skills, empowering students to independently tackle challenges and continually grow in their academic and professional pursuits.
