Personal Description:
Trevor grew up in the Alberta prairies where he developed a love of art and the natural world around him. After graduating high school he went on to complete a video and sound degree ( BFA) at OCADU and then later an experiential outdoor education degree (BEd) at Queen’s University in Kingston as well as gaining a TESOL certification in his spare time. Trevor is certified to teach in Ontario and Alberta, and also received a TRB certification for British Columbia. He has taught ESL, Science, language arts, and music to grades 1- 8 in Korea, the Ontario primary and junior curriculum on a native reserve in north Ontario, and art, drama, and design at an offshore B.C. high school in 2016. He has also worked for Toronto Parks as a one-to-one assistant for children with special needs, the PINE project at an overnight outdoor adventure camp, the High Park Nature Center, the Regent Park School of Music, and most memorably for Parks Canada as a Viking. Trevor currently teaches in Alberta, Canada.
Trevor enjoys finding ways to help students discover their own hidden talents and abilities. Trevor’s passion and energy are evident in his exchanges with his students. He strives to make learning an enjoyable experience. In his free time Trevor enjoys drawing and painting in the outdoors, listening to music, watching movies, playing guitar, acting and singing.

I offer a variety of approaches to learning for my clients that they can choose from. Many of my clients enjoy lessons that involve art, puzzles, are physically engaging and/or musical when available. I support inquiry and project based approaches to learning. I offer lessons that are most relevant to my student's daily lives from taking a taxi or making a recipe to or more intellectual or conversational topics. Your learning will be dynamic and differentiated to best fit your needs and interests. * Note : I am specifically offering conversational topics for English tutoring at this time.
