Personal Description:

Hello!!
My name is Todd.
I am a full-time English tutor.
I enjoy movies, conversation, drawing, baking, canoeing, and of course helping people become more confident with English!

Tutoring Experience:

I am an Ontario Certified English Language Teacher with a Certificate in the Teaching of English as a Second Language from Carleton University. I have about 3 years of private-school-classroom-teaching experience, over 10 years of one-to-one tutoring experience (having worked with 230+ individuals as of 2022), and over 5 years as an “English-Conversation Circle Facilitator”.
Since 2010, I have done in-person tutoring in my city, as well as online tutoring (by Skype, WeChat, KakaoTalk, Zoom, Telegram, and Microsoft Teams), in Canada and also China, Korea, Mexico, Iran, Brazil, Scotland, Australia, and the USA.

Tutoring Approach:

I work with people of all ages, to develop….
-English conversation skills
-Grammar and vocabulary
-Writing skills (for academic essays/proposals, professional reports, emails, resumes, cover letters, and PowerPoint slides)
I also do prep for job interviews, and tests like IELTS, TOEFL, CELPIP, and Secondary School Literacy Tests.
I believe that I am a good tutor because of my patience, positive energy, and the importance that I place in follow-up and review.
