Personal Description:

I believe strongly in the importance of education in shaping the future of the next generation by empowering young people to develop leadership skills and enabling them to better serve their community. By embracing diversity and listening to parents and students, we can build strong connections and make a lasting positive impact on the individuals we interact with.

Tutoring Experience:

I've been a teacher for thirty-three years, with the culmination of my career seeing me work in an administrative setting as a principal. I've been teaching and mentoring students my entire career, and my educational background makes me an ideal math tutor because I do have so much experience communicating ideas to students.

Tutoring Approach:

My approach as a tutor is to first assess the student that I am mentoring, in order to determine what they are interested in and where their strengths and weaknesses lie. I then use that information as the basis for future lessons. I also try to present my lessons in an entertaining and interactive manner so as to encourage the student's involvement.
