Personal Description:

My name is Thomas and I am an English tutor who believes that structure is important in education. I cater my approach to the individual I am working with whether we are studying English as a whole or how it's applied on a standardized test. My favorite concept to teach is writing because I have a deep understanding of what makes strong essays effective and am always willing to improve the structure of your work.

Tutoring Experience:

I received a Liberal Arts education that required me to write in every course, making it impossible for me to trick myself into thinking I understood concepts I didn't. I've also learned to speak clearly and answer student questions patiently over the years.

Tutoring Approach:

I believe in using the big picture to motivate my students. Topics like grammar may not be fun on their own, but they're absolutely essential if you want to become a famous writer or even compose effective emails in an office setting.
