Personal Description:

Master's Graduate and experienced tutor passionate about supporting students to grow in academic confidence. I specialise in English tutoring, building personalised plans to help students master communication skills. With a university qualification in French, I can also teach French (non-immersion) to students up to Grade 9.
I can help you with:
- English: Spelling, writing, comprehension, reading, grammar and essay writing.
- French: Elementary-level French including vocabulary, grammar, tenses, spelling, reading, expression and conversation.

Tutoring Experience:

I was an English Tutor for 5 years at a professional tutoring organization. I taught English to students from 5-17 years old, building skills in engagement, active listening, creative programming and managing personalised learning. I helped students achieve their academic goals and build a love for learning - not an easy feat!

After this, I coordinated a program for students of refugee and migrant background for whom English is their second language. I ran a multi-subject program, helping students from a range of backgrounds to break down barriers to learning.

Tutoring Approach:

I'll take the time to build a personalised plan with you, based on your needs, goals, and learning styles. I have experience working with students with ADHD and learning disabilities and I can make learning accessible and low-pressure. I like to make lessons fun, incorporating quizzes, visual elements, interesting conversation and your personal interests.
