Personal Description:

In my opinion, trial and error is the most effective way to learn, along with repetition and practice. I've been a math tutor since high school and continued tutoring through my college years. I can explain concepts to my students in a number of different ways until I find what helps them understand best.

Tutoring Experience:

I earned my bachelor's degree in Communications and minored in History. It is my intention to earn an MBA. I have many years of experience as a math tutor for students in middle school. I have also helped high school students prepare for the math sections of standardized tests like the ACT.

Tutoring Approach:

It is important to me that I can adjust my tutoring style to meet each student's most effective learning style. I begin tutoring sessions by observing my student and giving them different practice problems. This helps me figure out how they learn best. I enjoy empowering my students to build their confidence.
