Personal Description:
Hey, I'm Tara! I'm a fun, laid-back tutor ready to help with you or your child's specific learning needs, whatever they may be.
I'm also a musician, documentary enthusiast, nature-lover and gourmet grilled cheese enthusiast. I can't wait to meet you!
Tutoring Experience:
I've been teaching math, music, English and ESL for over 5 years. I've worked for companies and as a freelancer. Throughout my time as a tutor, I've taught kids ranging from 4 year old to 17 years old.
Tutoring Approach:
Learning can be fun! At least, a lot more fun than it's cracked up to be… I believe learning should be a collaborative learning process rather than a constant test of a student's abilities. I like to thoroughly explain concepts for as long as a student finds necessary before testing their knowledge.
