Personal Description:

My name is Tannaz and I have a passion for teaching. I have a Bachelor in Early Childhood Education from Concordia University. My love for teaching and helping people understand concepts began at a young age.The main reason I decided to become a teacher is because making a difference in a child's life gives me a great sense of fulfilment. The conjunction of my experience at the daycare, at the elementary, and at the adult level has allowed me to meet students' individual needs. My goal is to help students achieve academic excellence

Tutoring Experience:

I have been tutoring for over 15 years.

I have tutored at Oxford learning centre. I have also tutored in after school programs & online tutoring; but my main focus is private tutoring.

I have done 3 internships at the elementary school levels and 2 internships in daycare settings.

I have been teaching in schools for over 8 years. I have created holistic programs for private schools.

Tutoring Approach:

My philosophy entails providing children with the tools to think critically even with unfamiliar concepts. My objective is to help each student grow and develop to their fullest capacity. ProblemBased Learning theory, Information-Processing theory and the Social Learning theory are some of the theories included in my principles of teaching. My mission is to offer students the resources and the opportunities to become lifelong successful learners.
