Personal Description:

I am Swikriti, 22 years old. I am an excellent communicator with 4 years of rigorous training and passion for education. People say that I am a great listener in general but I feel it is easy for me to win the hearts of the children. I try to have an individual approach to each child with the goal of achieving best possible progress with everyone. I am seeking an online teaching position to utilize my knowledge of educational technology to facilitate interactive online learning. I believe passionately in the huge value of tutoring to students and take great satisfaction in seeing my students achieve their full potential.

Tutoring Experience:

Owing to my passion I landed my first job as a tutor to a 6th grade child when I was 17 years old and there was no looking back since then. Of course there can’t be a certificate for every child I have taught in the past 5 years but these past experiences have nurtured me into polishing my skills in not just academics but refined my organizational and time management skills. During my graduation program, I have gained a great deal of teaching experience as a student teacher in different government and public schools through which I have developed good oratory skills along with classroom management techniques and educate them in a friendly environment in both offline and online mode. Apart from this, I am also working in an Ed-tech company as an online chess coach where I deal with plenty of international students.

Tutoring Approach:

My aim as a tutor is to do much more than just increase grades, however I aim to inspire the students, increase confidence and create a deeper understanding of their respective subjects. My approach varies depending on the student's needs and learning styles. My teaching philosophy is based on encouraging students to think for themselves using real-world examples wherever possible. Teaching is a two way process so I expect questions. If any stumbling blocks have been encountered I will use a range of questioning techniques to get to the bottom of the problem. One of the key benefits of Online Teaching is having the opportunity to assess a students’ knowledge in a relaxed, calm and non judgmental environment, and remedy where appropriate. I aim to help students over the long term by also discussing revision strategies and memory aids to ensure that topics covered in sessions will remain fresh and exam ready.
