Personal Description:

I am an enthusiastic Psychologist and an educator who is passionate about teaching the significance of human mind and behaviour. My interest in Psychology was carried forward from high school to a Bachelor's in Psychology from the University of Warwick (UK) and a Masters in Environmental Psychology from the University of Surrey (UK). By teaching in various countries and cultures, I have developed excellent communication and interpersonal skills. I work in a conscientious, organized and timely manner. I believe that learning is most effective when teaching is tailored to the audience and creatively delivered.

Tutoring Experience:

I have an overall of 6 years of teaching experience in Psychology. After the completion of my Masters degree in Environmental Psychology, I joined a private psychology education institution affiliated with a renowned UK university in Colombo, Sri Lanka. My teaching experience at the institution focused on topics such as Introduction to Psychology, Motivation and Emotions, Personality, Work conflict and stress and Origins and Concepts in Psychology to Masters, BSc and Diploma programmes.

I was also the appointed Grade 11 Psychology teacher in the Delhi-Public School in Doha, Qatar. Within the tenure at this institution I followed the CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) programme that provided the foundation for final year high school students.

Tutoring Approach:

My approach to tutoring emphasizes on flexibility and collaboration. Every student is unique and has an inherent learning style. It is essential to adopt various teaching techniques and approaches best suited for each student. Tutoring also provides a great platform for collaboration and partnership. The tutor should work beside the student to supplement individual study and build confidence.
